Job Description

VMware Partner Business Manager

– India South

- To develop and manage India South Partner Channels (OEMs, Distributors & Resellers) and drive the sales activity of VMware Partners to promote sales of VMware products across West India

- Interface with Partners and Customers at a senior level as appropriate and build strong Partner relations

- Responsible for India West Channel quota achievement

- Reporting to Partner Channel Director

Job Responsibilities

- Development and execution of India South Channel Development strategy to include specific revenue & transactional goals, Partner recruitment, Partner enablement and Partner marketing goals and activities

- Defining lead generation and sales targets with channel partners, in line with organization’s focus areas and ensuring that quarterly sales targets through channel partners are consistently exceeded

- Assisting with the development of Distributor and Reseller Partner business plans, problem resolution, relationship development, and coordination of sales and technical resource allocation

- Work in close collaboration with Regional Sales Manager

- Regular partner reviews resulting in a detailed understanding of the status of significant accounts and deals in the region

- Establishing and growing VMware expertise within the VMware Channel to strengthen VMware market share and market placedefensibility

Education/Experience/Key Competencies

•Degree level education BS or BA level, MBA preferred

•Strong Channel management experience : 8 – 12 years previous Channel sales experience in a high technology industry

•Demonstrated track record of driving incremental revenue through the channel

•Proven track record of exceeding sales goals

•Strong team player, able to work effectively with colleagues to maximize revenue potential within region

•Excellent long term relationship builder – must be able to demonstrate quality/duration of business relations

•Strong verbal and written communications skills as well as effective interpersonal skills and presentation skills are required

•Must be self-motivated and directed, have strong follow up skills and pay close attention to detail

•A self-starter, energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated

•The ability to travel as required
