RM DC R&D India is part of the Global Ericsson organization with development centers in Chennai and Gurgaon.

 We are responsible for product development of Solution Area Revenue Management (SA RM) products and have association with Ericsson Research.

 The existing setup as we work today is established in early 2006.

The development unit in Gurgaon has longer experience in product development since 2004.

Ericsson offerings for business intelligence with products for data mining and financial reporting based on data produced by RM product portfolio and other sources.

As offering SM you will work in close collaboration with Revenue Management (RM) Strategic Product Management (SPM), program management and system management/development on the development centers of Revenue Management.

Essentials for the Role

• A proven technical leader with the ability to take lead in various technical discussions both on technician and business level, internally and with customers and partners.

• Deep knowledge in system modeling and technical cost estimations within the early processes of development and deployment

• Communicative when it comes to negotiations, presentation and workshop techniques

• Business oriented when it comes to being able to address customer needs and benefits

• Good understanding of the Operator business process as well as the standardization thereof

• Good competitor awareness within the RM and business support areas of IT, billing and telecommunication.

• A genuine competence and interest in new and applied technology and software engineering coupled with a high degree of business understanding

• Good understanding of process, methods and tools and their use in the software development process

• Good Presentation Skills

• Sound domain knowledge in telecom or an interest to adapt to telecom domain very quickly

• Open systems environment knowledge and intuitive familiarity with design/test and related software disciplines

• Good technical leadership skills (hands on as a technical leader)

• Keen interest and familiarity in nurturing a product from feature ideation stage to successful mass implementation in customer deployments

• Structured and meticulous in planning and problem solving

• Participate in strategic work related to portfolio development for R&D site

• Quality minded, but yet cost efficient in operative outlook

• Passion to take past operative experience to drive improvements in products, teams and personnel

• Strong collaborative team building skills

• Very good written and verbal communication skills

• Exposure to multicultural experiences a definite advantage

• The role requires travel on a short notice. 

Responsibilities for the Position

• Technically ensure medium/long term realization of a competitive mix of leading technology and business requirements together with SPM and the development centers.

• Cater for the technology and architecture value to support the sales and pre-sales process of the concerned offerings

• Ensure technology alignment within the DU, with other Ericsson solution areas and with partners to Ericsson contributing in the offerings.

• As offering SM, you will be the technical escalation point in the DU reporting to head of RM system management.

• Location is Chennai, India. The position does however require traveling to visit customers in our regions and stakeholders to the offering in R&D and SPM.
