DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Programme Management:

o Overall project management, design implementation and supervision of all ARK India programmes. including issue, risk management and resolution

o Custodian of the programme goals, objectives and year end deliverables

  o Recommend, develop and maintain reports for respective programmes for all stakeholders. 

o Management & adherence of ongoing budgeting and forecasting processes by working with the programme teams to ensure their understanding.

o Accountable for timely and effective reporting of monthly and yearly baseline, midlines and endline reports generated for respective programmes. 

o Interact with internal and external stakeholders involved with programmes in order to help scale up programme across geographies in India. 

o Work with Advocacy and Communications colleagues to develop the advocacy and communications plans to support programme needs

Operations Management:

o Lead and facilitate annual and periodic business and operational planning processes with Programme Development Team /Country Director 

o Manage the day to day running of office operations, including team communications and management of monthly meetings

o Working with the Country Director and Senior Management team to harness, develop maintain the ARK culture.

o Design, development and implementation of operational & HR processes and practices to improve the effectiveness of day to day operations.

People Management:

o Line management of programme heads, office support staff (1-2) and oversight of their logistical and administrative activities 

o Performance management and development of capacity within direct reports and team members, including identification of training needs

CANDIDATE PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

o At least 8 years of experience in managing operations, an independent team, complex programmes preferably in the education and child rights domain

o Strong project management experience and ability to develop detailed plan and add structure to programme teams

o Financial and business acumen to deal with diverse situations as they arise in the course of programme management

o Operational process improvement experience with an ability to design, develop and implement new ways of working

o Highly meticulous, thorough, detail oriented and analytical 

o An individual with self initiative and demonstrates ability to work independently and under direction 

o Able to generate practical approaches to challenging situations 

o Excellent writing and oral communication, presentation skills

o Strong proficiency in using the MS Office suite 

o Has acquired at the minimum a Bachelors degree, but preferably has completed an MBA or Masters degree
