Essential Responsibilities
· Complete detailed and thorough inspection: visual, dimensional per Engineering drawings and NDE per GE Engineering specifications. Inspections include customer owned offshore drilling equipment at vendor or customer site.
· Thoroughly document inspection and complete reports in timely manner for submission to GE Engineering group
· Quality review and oversee repair of customer owned drilling equipment to ensure every step of every process meets industry and GE standards. This includes, welding, painting, NDE, testing and assembly.
· Inspections include but not limited to Dimensional, Visual and NDE as per engineering drawings. Ensure that components and fully assemblies meet all GE and customer requirements
· Follow work instructions, work as a team with others to complete tasks in timely and safe
· Write and keep part number and material traceability. Maintaining inventory of Spares and Workshop Items.
· Comply to work instructions and SOP’s as required.
· Inspect his/her own and others work to ensure all specifications are fulfilled.
· Maintain excellent EHS record and active in preventing occurrences. Maintain Client Warehouse facilities in accordance with GE Oil& Gas D&PS EHS standards as well Client Standards and Compliance regulations, providing a safe work environment at all times.
· Generate manual and electronic inspection reports. Working in shop and outdoor environment. Generate Nonconformance reports when quality issue is found.
· Compile QA documentation package for inspection or repair projects.
· Ensure the organization adheres to the compliance and integrity policy, quality and regulatory standards to meet GE legislative requirements
· Active participation in promoting the highest standards of EHS compliance. Working as a team and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions and active role in resolution.
· Complete 3 month Field Certified Inspector Program.
· Offshore inspection will sometimes be required
· Travel to GE, customer and vendor inspections sites in and out of India may also be required.
Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications in an Engineering or Quality Control discipline
· Previous oilfield related inspection and repair experience. 5+years experience in quality control
· Drilling Equipment Experience, Riser, Telescopic joints, H-4's etc
· Ability to read mechanical drawings and tolerance. Basic computer skills required for compiling technical report
· Certified Welding inspector or technical welding process experience
· Exceptional quality reporting skills
· Ability to work with a high degree of responsibility and accountability
· Skilled mechanical dimensional micrometer inspection
· Phased Array UT Inspection operating & analyzing experience a plus but not required
· WIS, CWI or CAWI certified a plus but not required
· Certified Level II in UT, PT, and MT a plus but not required
· Ability to read and correctly interpret prints / drawings & specifications
