High Level Responsibilities Include:

Implementation and management of Enterprise Software Asset management program

Assist with Enterprise-Wide software support renewals

Administration of Enterprise Software Asset management program

Drive IT Specialist processes and related work for Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures

Central Point to Manage Supplier and Internal Audit Responses
Detailed Responsibilities Include:
-
Influence and manage asset management aspects of ongoing relationship with established IT Suppliers.
-
Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop strategies to retain leverage with managing and using existing IT assets, in particular software assets.
-
Collaborate with key stakeholders (including Sourcing and decentralized Business Unit leads) to align annual software true-up and support renewals for software managed by decentralized and global business units.

Develop a process to manage internal and external audit activities for software use and entitlements. Work closely with Internal Audit and Tyco Operational Excellence legal experts to finalize the process for routine use.

Project manage global software audit requests.

Serve as subject matter expert and program manager for emerging world wide software asset tracking and asset management program, process, tools and collaboration across all Tyco business units world-wide.
Liaise with merger, acquisition and divestiture business and legal teams to develop specific plans and deliverables to support custom plans for each project.
Required Skill set:
-
Senior level leadership skills conducive to leading the development and implementation of a new shared-services function for global IT Asset Management

High level understanding of IT hardware/software assets including products and licensing models
-
Some proficiency with software license management and related procurement practices
-
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently

Demonstrated ability to define and manage processes
-
Understanding of financial tracking and management for cost savings and ROI associated with managing hardware and software assets.
-
Working knowledge of asset optimization planning including asset valuation and scenario planning for buy, transfer and termination strategies for asset use.

Some experience in or knowledge of supporting merger, acquisition and divestiture initiatives and the decision processes required for these transactions
Desired Skill set:
-
Knowledge software asset inventory tools (i.e., SMS, Alteris, Track-it, others)
-
Experience working with IT Suppliers (Oracle, Dell, Microsoft, SAP, Etc.)
-
Familiarity with IT Cost Saving initiatives and reporting
-
Ability to Travel (when required to fulfill assigned tasks)

Understanding of software reseller industry and experience managing software reseller supplier(s)Experienced participation in merger, acquisition and divestiture projects
Qualifications:
-
4 year college degree with a Masters in business, supply chain or information technology services (or appropriate professional experience) preferred

8 - 10 years relevant work experience in the field of IT asset management and supplier management.
