Responsibilities : 

  • Manage and grow a diverse portfolio of CB clients in India - including in-country offices/subsidiaries of US companies.   Meet existing clients and develop more relationships across India with a focus on North.
  • Size up market opportunity.  Identify, solicit & develop new CB relationships and facilitate the expansion of these relationships globally throughout the CB International Banking Group.
  • Work closely with the International Coverage Officers and Bankers in the US to identify opportunities and translate these into business. Work with the US team to increase the visibility on the product range and services offered and well as discuss capabilities with the client's US office from time to time
  • Analyze complex financial information to structure appropriate client solutions & credit facility as well as execution of various banking transactions.
  • Provide quality and tailored business solutions to CB clients through the partnership with different Product teams, Treasury Services, Investment Banking teams, Credit Risk Management to deliver comprehensive JPM products.  
  • Work with internal teams- credit,  compliance, mid office and operations to help structure the right solution and offer accurate advice to clients. Develop credit assessment memos on the obligor (Indian subsidiary) and present the same to the India Credit Committee for approvals.
  • Identify and assess credit transactions and documentation requirements (including corporate loan facilities, working capital lines,  FX & derivative lines, etc).  Work with JPM legal & outside counsel on legal agreements.  Negotiate loan documentation and close credit transactions.
  • Work with US Underwriter on new credit facility approval package, facility set up, annual facility renewal, etc.  Obtain local in-country credit approval as required to book the credit transactions at the respective JPM branch. 
  • Responsible for India in-country KYC compliance and accurate client set up in various bank systems. Also support internal and statutory audits with data, information and supporting documents on the CB loan portfolio.

Essential Skills/Experience:   

  • Minimum 8-10 years working experience as a relationship manager in commercial banking / corporate banking team.  Good knowledge and experience in handling multinational banking relationship.
  • Solid understanding of India financial services markets.
  • Good credit analysis and marketing skills
  • Good knowledge of corporate banking products including debt products, working capital finance, cash management products, trade finance, FX derivatives products. Proven experience in cross selling products and meeting aggressive sales goals.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An independent self starter, capable of working with minimal supervision.  Analytical.  Result oriented.
  • A team player and the ability to work well across a broad & diverse range of internal and external clients.
  • Good organizational & time management skills. Flexibility to co-ordinate & prioritise a number of transactions & matters at any one time.
Educational Qualifications:     MBA or CA, with basic degree in any of the following : Science, Economics, Accounting/Commerce, Engineering.
