Technical Service Advisor
He/She will be responsible for transfer of technical knowledge ”on the job training” to the local mechanics, technicians, FSE, PQE. This is a compliment to the normal scheduled training. He/She should also supervise and assist the dealers and local parts and service management in all questions related to After Sales Operation.
In order to fulfill the assignment the technical service advisor should always be accompanied by FSE, PQE, technicians or mechanics. The job will require extensive travelling.
He/She will report to the Aftermarket Director and will be measured primarily on the targets as mentioned in current PBP. He will also be measured on the ability to provide the parts Services and support as requested by the markets and the dealer network
Key Tasks:
• Supervise/train the local technicians to carry out delivery, warranty service and preventive maintenance in accordance with VTC recommendations
• Supervise/train the local technicians to carry out warranty repair.
• Supervise/train the local technicians to carry out all type of repair in accordance with Volvo standard. Special attention should be given to fault tracing routines.
• Supervise/train the foreman, receptions and planning in workshop routines i.e. repair orders production card, customer database, follow-up KPI, VST time etc.
• Support the warranty clerk in warranty handling and routines
• Carry out ”on the job training” for local technicians and central function / FSE, PQE.
• Advise the workshop management in all technical questions.,
• Advise and assist the parts and service mangers in communication with central
function at Markets company.
• Advise and assist the workshop personnel in handling andfault tracing operation via VCDS-Pro,LDS , etc
• Assist and advise all Aftersales personnel at central function in all technical questions.
• Advise and assist the parts manager in questions related to the parts engineering concerns
Critical Competencies:
• Mechanical engineer
• Experience in working at a dealer as a supervisor, foreman or workshop
manager.
• Experience in field operation in warranty policy, procedure and audit.
• Experience in “on the job training”.
• Good product knowledge and experience from working with Volvo trucks.
• English speaking and writing.
• Experience in driving heavy trucks and training of drivers.
• Experience in assignments abroad.
• Good communication skill.
